Latin America. The Spanish company Televes wants to increase its presence in the Latin market, for which it has announced that it is carrying out the procedures to open its first office in the region, which will be located in Bogotá, Colombia.
Juan Molezun, International Department Director of Televes, told TVyVideo+Radio that the office in Colombia will function as a strategic base for the South American market. "We chose Colombia because it has extraordinary communications with Spain, ports in the Pacific and the Atlantic and offers good connections to travel to other countries in the region. In addition, it adopted the European digital television standard."
The company is a manufacturer of equipment for the reception and distribution of television signals, whether satellite, terrestrial, cable, fiber optics, also measuring equipment and a full range of accessories to bring television to homes. This entire portfolio will be available from the office in Bogotá, which will be directed by a Spanish engineer.
Juan Molezun added that the expectations they have with the Latin market are very good, because it provides an important opportunity for growth. "In addition to the investment we make in Colombia, we have a network of engineers as country managers in countries in the region such as Chile, Ecuador, Brazil. Televes' commitment to the Latino market is great."
