Mexico. By virtue of the fact that simple and clear procedures reduce the cost of doing business for companies and citizens and increase the incentives to invest and participate in the telecommunications and broadcasting sectors, the Federal Institute of Telecommunications, IFT, makes available to the public its new Inventory of Procedures, which contains better and more information about its procedures, as well as the requirements, means of presentation, deadlines and formalities applicable to each of them.
The tool, available on the Institute's internet portal from February 22, has a search engine that allows you to locate and facilitate the information, which foresees a reduction in the costs of obtaining it to the industry, users and audiences. With the above, the Institute will be able to undertake actions of regulatory improvement and administrative simplification that will lead to the continuous improvement of its paperwork.
The Inventory has information on 144 procedures that the current legal framework establishes in the field of telecommunications, broadcasting and economic competition in these sectors. All interested parties will be able to know remotely, quickly and easily the procedures in charge of the Institute, as well as the requirements and formalities applicable to each of them.
This action is in addition to others carried out by the Institute to make its actions transparent and provide legal certainty to the participants of the sectors it regulates; and is part of the transversal axis of "Institutional Strengthening", indicated in its Annual Work Program 2016.
With this type of action, the Institute optimizes its internal functioning, which translates into better attention to interested parties and a reduction in the costs associated with its procedures.
