Colombia. As part of the design of complementary training actions of Information and Communications Technologies of SENA, the National Television Authority carried out on Thursday, February 18 and Friday, February 19, the course "Implementation of Digital Terrestrial Television in Colombia" aimed at instructors from 13 regional training centers.
During these two days, the instructors received training on the fundamentals of DTT, its structure, characteristics, what the DVB-T2 standard consists of- Transmission networks, service operators and national policies (analog shutdown).
Similarly, regulation of quality of service of the CRC, measurements and monitoring of the service, transmission networks, design of stations, configuration parameters and installation of DTT in homes and at the end the participants were able to perform practices of installation of Indoor and Outdoor antennas, and configuration of decoders for DTT.
In the course directed by engineers Mario Medina and Juan Carlos Aguirre of the ANTV, instructors from the Regional Centers of the Capital District, Antioquia, Atlántico, Bolívar, Santander, Caldas, Valle, Tolima, Cauca, Norte Santander, Boyacá, Santander and San Andres participated.
The academic day was held at the Center for Electricity, Electronics and Telecommunications, Complejo Sur, in the city of Bogotá, with a duration of 16 hours.
