Colombia. With an investment of more than $ 30,000 million and after 18 years of attempts and efforts, Telemedellin premiered on December 15 a modern headquarters located in the old municipal nursery, southeast of Medellín.
The adaptation of the lot of 28,000 square meters took a year and a half, it was thought from four premises: little invasive, with pedestrian connection, sustainable and that will allow guided tours. Today it stands as a green structure of three blocks, surrounded by a park and a pedestrian path.
The investment was also destined to provide high-tech equipment to the channel that from now on will be able to sustain the programming 24 hours a day in the HD system and by satellite.
In the words of the channel's manager, Henry Horacio Chaves Parra, "the house is open to everyone. Welcome to share space and dreams, remember not to pretend, here we see ourselves as we are. That's why we're the city's canal."
A long way
For 18 years, the channel was operating in rented headquarters, among the places that adapted are:
A house in the village
The second floor of the Mayor's Office
The Secretary of Mobility
With the opening of what has been called the Park Channel, a high-tech space is achieved to provide television service, as well as a nature-friendly space that can be visited by all people who want to enjoy a park, be amazed by the flowers and learn how the programs are made.
