Peru. Through the publication of the draft amendment of Technical Standards of the Broadcasting Service, the Ministry of Transport and Communications, MTC, seeks to generate greater possibilities for investment and access to broadcasting, by expanding, for example, the availability of frequencies for the provision of this service.
The modification project also seeks to achieve a more efficient and rational use of the radio spectrum attributed to the FM sound broadcasting service and, in addition, to discourage the existence and permanence of illegal FM radio stations, known as "pirates".
To this end, it estimates a more efficient and rational use of the radio spectrum attributed to the FM sound broadcasting service, and a greater offer and diversity of FM radio programming for the general public.
In order to be able to count on the participation of citizens, the MTC has made available the email [email protected] which interested parties can send their opinions and suggestions, which will be duly evaluated and considered.
