Mexico. As a continuation of Avid's tour of Latin America, the company presented, with the help of its Mexican distributor Artec, its novelties that were launched at NAB 2015, including the concept of working in high resolution at low cost.
Eduardo Solana, Sr. Regional Sales Manager of Avid, explained to TVyVideo+Radio that basically three products were presented: the Media Composer, an editing system that has been evolving and today is in version 8.5 that allows working in HD and 4K.
The DNxIO input and output monitoring interface was also presented, which allows working on the monitoring of the intake and output of all formats in high resolution. And everything will be connected to the Isis 1000 system, which allows collaborative work with centralized storage for high resolution at a low cost.
"These solutions have been presented in Argentina, Colombia, among other countries, and today we are doing it in Mexico. Although it is already on the market and customers can buy it, this is the premier of the products in Mexico, so that customers can know them first-hand and solve their doubts, "said Eduardo Solana.
This is the sixth year in which Avid and Artec bring together their Mexican customers in December to present the novelties launched in the previous months and celebrate with them the end of the year festivities.
The Avid representative concluded that "Mexico is very important for Avid, because in addition to being a very influential market, we have one of the largest customers in the region which is Televisa. Not only at the broadcaster level, we also have outstanding clients in the education and government sectors. It is a country of reference in what is happening in technological matters".
