Argentina. The Afsca board resolved to award by public tender several FM licenses in different areas of the country aimed at different foci of the population. These include an FM license to a cooperative in Unquillo, Córdoba, and a civil association in Tilcara, Jujuy.
It also resolved to authorize the Catholic Church for the installation of six FM radios, in the cities of Crespo, Monte Caseros, Curuzú Cuatiá, and Paso de los Libres, Pergamino and 9 de Julio (Buenos Aires). The installation of an FM was also authorized to the Municipality of Algarrobo de Águila (La Pampa) and the frequency 530 MHZ was assigned to the Rebeldía y Esperanza Association – Mothers of Plaza de Mayo Foundation.
The meeting provided for the authorization of an FM for the Municipality of James Craik, in the province of Córdoba, and FM radios in Santiago del Estero, Chaco, Chubut, Misiones, Formosa, Buenos Aires, Río Negro, Córdoba and Santa Fe; as well as a cooperative cable in Córdoba.
Likewise, the award of two FM was approved, one for the Cordoban town of Bialet Masse and another for Neuquén.
