Chile. "Since last week, the community production contest has been open, which has a limit of 30 million pesos per project, being in total 264 million pesos for community producers throughout the country. The contest will be open until next Monday, December 28 and we will reward the winners on January 29, 2016," said Oscar Reyes to the more than 50 community audiovisualists gathered in Pichilemu.
This is how the president of the CNTV responded to the questions regarding the future of community channels in 2016, especially about the competitive funds being developed by the National Television Council, made by the members of the group of community audiovisualists chaired by Luis Lillo, of Channel 3 of the population La Victoria
The President of the CNTV reiterated that from 2016, "this subsidy for producers or future community channels will be a permanent competitive line that will be awarded within the Fund for the Promotion of Television Quality, as they are at present, the lines of fiction, non-fiction, telefilm and international co-production, among others," Oscar Reyes said.
"Our purpose with this development fund is to cover and further democratize the delivery of this subsidy, which is the most important that Chilean television has. In this way, we reaffirm the work of the CNTV promoting the creation of audiovisual projects that are of local or community interest," added the President of the National TV Council.
