Colombia. Elemental is a relatively new company in the market, which has positioned itself with its products that allow to carry video with high quality, low bandwidth consumption and provides marketing options. For 2015, it included Latin America as part of its expansion plans.
Today they have important clients in Mexico, Chile, Argentina, Ecuador and Central America. To accelerate growth in the region, at the beginning of the year they divided their Latam department, leaving Sergio Goncalves Silva in the southern part, and appointing Héctor Sánchez in the new office for Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean.
During Andinalink 2015, TVyVideo spoke with Héctor Sánchez, who explained that "Elemental is a young company that is not well known in Latin America. That is why they named me, with the aim of having a greater presence in the area of Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean, and concentrating sales efforts in the southern part from Brazil. This way we will be able to better serve our customers."
He added that new video distribution technologies, such as OTT, are barely being implemented in the region. "It's something that's growing, it's a matter related to consumption habits. Young people today practically watch all television on multiscreen and consumption is more directed to the viewer, before it was directed to the producer. "
For the monetization of multi-screen content, Elemental developed the Delta system, which allows commercial inquiries into video-on-demand functionalities and segment advertising according to the geographical position of the viewer.
