Latin America. Since the last year, the Harris company has had variation in its broadcast line, after the sale of this segment and the arrival of a new CEO, Charlie Vogt. Precisely the latter, gave a part of the actions they are taking after the first 100 days in office.
He commented that the company's focus is to better align with customers and business partners through special attention to industry trends, product requirements, quality, customer satisfaction, professional services and new business models, through the product, engineering, services, sales and marketing teams.
As part of this process, at the end of October, they presented their new website – www.harrisbroadcast.com. The site was designed to offer simplicity, easy navigation and focus of end-to-end solutions, with a focus on videos and educational resources.
The presentation of the product portfolio was also simplified to an intuitive way, according to business needs. When entering the website, you can search by product (Media, Playout, Networks and Transmission), by solution or workflow (create, optimize, Play and Deliver).
According to the company's CEO, "Our industry is about to undergo a change by basing processes increasingly on IP, business management tools moving to the cloud and playout solutions and networks benefit from virtualization and both linear and non-linear/video-on-demand delivered everywhere."
He added that these technological changes and new business models require strategic alliances with market-leading technology and service companies – companies with the financial capacity to invest in the required innovation and global scale and professional services to offer the expertise and turnkey solutions.
