Chile. Canal del Fútbol, CDF, the owner of the rights to the Chilean league, adopted Elemental Live video processing systems for subscription to the online video-on-demand streaming platform, known as Estadio CDF. The deployment is supported by Mediastream, elemental technologies partner in Latin America.
Launched in late 2012, Estadio CDF subscribers can watch live football matches of the Chilean Football League via the internet with connected TVs, computers, smart TVs or tablets.
CDF plans to use the channel to promote content such as the National Professional Football Championship and Chile's Petrobras Cup, which are attended by viewers in Chile and around the world, especially Chileans living outside the country.
Elemental's systems allow CDF to create video sequences of sports programming in real time and ensure optimal image quality on a variety of devices. In its selection of Elemental, CDF cited the flexibility of the systems, powerful video processing and high-quality video output.
"Elemental plays a key role in our multi-screen expansion. Elemental's powerful GPU video processing, overall simplicity of deploying them, and strong local support have helped drastically reduce time to market and increase access to our subscribers," said Samuel Hes, CDF's director of cross-platform.
