Uruguay. The Uruguayan subscription television operator TC, will begin to offer its customers a new OTT service, for which it will require the services of Broadpeak for the deployment of the system.
Using Broadpeak's unified mediator manager reference BkM100, multi-format video streaming server BkS300 and HTTP video cache server BkS400, the Uruguayan TCC can cost-effectively offer OTT live content and video on demand to subscribers while ensuring high quality of service.
"The partnership with Broadpeak will allow us to meet growing consumer demand for a high-quality OTT viewing experience on any device. We can easily add catch-up TV, analytics and wholesale CDN features to improve OTT service," said Javier Ruete, CTP's director general.
Broadpeak BkS300 and BkS400 video servers support a variety of video formats, including Apple HLS, Microsoft Smooth Streaming, Adobe HDS and MPEG-DASH, which allow TCC to reach a wide range of display devices. By using adaptive HTTP technology, the servers ensure that viewers always benefit from the best possible video quality.
The BkM100 system effectively manages load balancing and task failover by continuously monitoring content based on subscriber usage patterns, enabling TCC to deliver video-on-demand content in the most cost-effective and efficient manner.
