Colombia. After the closing of the call for the first version of the University Contest TecnoTelevisión 2013, the part can not be less than satisfactory. A total of 30 groups/people from universities in different regions of the country accepted the invitation and sent an equal number of papers.
The juries will not have an easy job to choose the five finalists, because quality and innovation are predominant factors of the participating audiovisual pieces.
But who will have this difficult task? The group of three jurors is made up of outstanding professionals who have extensive experience in the country's television industry.
One of them is Yan Camilo Vergara, television producer at the Jaime Isaza Cadavid Polytechnic and Social Communicator-Journalist at the University of Antioquia. He is currently studying a Master's Degree in Aesthetics at the National University of Colombia.
His professional career highlights his work in the regional channels Teleantioquia and Telemedellín. In addition, he received the Euro News Radio France International Award for Best Documentary for Spanish-language TV in 2003.
Another member of the jury is Emilio Manjarrés, director of television and content at UNE. In his academic training, Emilio is an Electronic Engineer from the Pontifical Bolivarian University and has a specialization in Marketing. The last years of his working life have been dedicated to television.
The group is complemented by Leonardo Ramírez, director and director of film and television. Social Communicator Journalist by profession, his experience is focused on the creation of advertising campaigns and the realization of the audiovisual pieces required for them. In addition to having an academic and teaching career in careers related to audiovisual production.
The choice and award of the winner will be made within the framework of the first day of TecnoTelevisión. Remember that the Congress will be held on July 31 and the first of August at the Corferias convention center in Bogotá Colombia.
