Colombia. Until August 10, the licensees of community television have a deadline to notify their knowledge and application of the provisions provided for in Resolution ANTV 433 of 2013 "by which the non-profit closed community television service is partially regulated", in particular, in compliance with the provisions that they must carry out in the short term.
To this end, the ANTV provided the "Format document of manifestation of will", which can be downloaded from the website of the regulatory entity and licensees must fill out and send, attaching the certificate of existence and legal representation of the company not exceeding sixty days from the date of filing.
In the same resolution , the new methodology of the Payment of compensation by the organized communities licensed to the ANTV is contemplated. The entity established compensation for the operation of the public television service.
The compensation will be the result of multiplying the total number of associates per month by the value of the compensation per associate per month, which varies depending on the municipality in which each community television is authorized to operate. It was also established that the payment will be bimonthly and the first must be made until July 25, corresponding to the months of April, May and June.
In its communication, the ANTV recalled that failure to comply with this requirement or the poor completion of the document will be grounds for cancellation of the license to provide the community television service.
