United States. A new version of the most important fair for the television industry worldwide begins and although officially NAB Show 2013 opens its doors today, since yesterday the companies have been ahead with the presentation of their new products.
One of them is Sony, which makes a commitment to 4K systems, both for professional production and for consumers at home. In the first case, it introduced the HXR-IFR5 interface, through which the NEX-FS700 camera will be able to record in the 4K RAW format. In this same line are located professional monitors with 4K resolution.
For the second case, Sony will have on the market its new 4K TVs of references XBR-65X900 and XBR-55X900, as well as the first 4K media player for use in homes. Among Sony's new products, the X-Disc Archive system also stands out, which provides an efficient solution for the management and conservation of audio and video files.
Another company that also anticipated the Show was Avid, which presented its new products focused on three lines: media management, connection from anywhere and creative tools. This portfolio includes Media Composer 7, a non-linear editing solution that features streamlined, file-focused workflows, including optimized HD delivery of high-resolution source material and automated operations.
Avid also introduced what it believes will be a new standard for audio production, the Pro Tools 11, which features an efficient new audio engine, 64-bit performance and innovative capabilities for audio productions to focus on sounding their best.
