Mexico. The media specialized in economics, the Bloomberg channel and the newspaper El Financiero, joined forces to launch an HD television channel in Spanish focused on audiences in Mexico and Central America.
Companies will leverage Bloomberg's knowledge of finance and business with content that is produced locally. They also plan to offer content online, on mobile sites and in print with a co-branded section in the newspaper El Financiero, all based on financial and business news.
"Mexico is one of the fastest growing economies in the world and our agreement with El Financiero will allow Bloomberg to offer the most accurate information on global financial and business matters to an increasingly critical market," said Andy Lack, CEO of Bloomberg Media Group.
In this way, the North American group repeats the strategy of forming partnerships with leading suppliers in markets that have a prevailing history of economic growth, as they have done in India, Mongolia, Turkey, Mongolia, Indonesia, Africa and the Middle East.
This will be the first business news channel available in high definition throughout Mexico, Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua, Costa Rica and Panama, with transmission from El Financiero's new high-definition studio in Mexico City starting later this year.
The lineup will contain Bloomberg's extensive information on economics and finance, as well as reports from the company's more than 2,400 journalists at 146 new agencies in 72 countries.
