Colombia. One of the outstanding attractions that will bring the next version of Andina Link 2013, which will be held in Cartagena, Colombia, between February 26 and 28, is the Ibero-American Forum of Convergence and Audiovisual, FICA.
This is a scenario created so that executives and opinion leaders of telecommunications operators can jointly analyze and study the financial, commercial and technological impact of the implementation of content, technologies, new businesses and new platforms of the digital age.
Among the topics scheduled for FICA 2013 are legislation, business, technology and trends. The first session, called Legislating the future of ultra-fast networks, will allow a review of the regulation of telecommunications, based on the fact that the telecommunications market evolves excessively.
On the business topic, there will be two sessions. The first, called Ser Operador Wireless. Trend or need?, on the Development Strategy and new business opportunities. The second is Subscriber access systems, on broadband alternatives, different systems that allow multimedia content and development strategy and new business opportunities.
In technology, new generation networks and the new TV will be discussed, with the sessions Start-up of an FTTH/GPON network and The new television, in which the latest of the new TV will be known: IPTV - OTT and Cloud TV through FTTH - GPON and DOCSIS 3.0 networks.
Finally, there is the topic of Trends, which will be dedicated to quintuple play. Called Can we talk about Quintuple Play?, it will address the issue of cloud services as a new business opportunity.
