Latin America. Hand in hand with the presentation of the new version of its creative suite, which includes a professional video editing package, the company Adobe wants to have a much stronger presence in Latin American countries.
TV Y VIDEO spoke with Gustavo Brunser, Director of Video for Latin America at Adobe Systems, who explained that in the specific professional video market his company had never had a focus on the region, due to administrative issues.
"But as of March of this year, the video business decided to take Latin America as a developing market, because it has great potential, which has not been affected by the international economic crisis and in which we see great business opportunities due to the number of channels and content producers comparable to those of Europe or the United States," Indicated.
Adobe's business model in the region for 20 years has been managed through wholesale distributors and specialized channels, but in the case of video they are looking to certify specific channels for each country, two or three according to size, that allow the sale of the product, with accompaniment and technical service for customers.
As part of the strategy to win new markets, between September and November Adobe made a tour of each of the countries in the region presenting the video editing software, the Premium 6, of which Gustavo Brunser highlighted that it was restructured from scratch, with a totally different architecture based on 24 bits, with a new play back engine, thus achieving a fast work, in real time, in 90% without rendering.
