The latest news of Colombian television and its relationship with international peers is starred by the production company RTI and the Mexican Televisa, companies that reached an agreement that seeks to produce 500 annual hours of telenovelas and dramatized, genres in which the Colombian company stands out, which is celebrating 50 years of existence.
According to the terms, according to Patricio Wills, president of RTI, the business includes that the programs are recorded mainly in Colombia and Venezuela, but there will also be recordings in Mexico and Miami. Under the agreement, they are already working on the first series, which will be a new version of the famous telenovela La Usurpadora, which first aired in 1998.
He also indicated that the initial contract is for seven years, until 2019, with possibilities of extension depending on the results achieved in this period.
But this is not the only agreement that these days they celebrate in RTI, since the company also reached an agreement with the Colombian channel RCN for the development of special projects. The first of these will be the series about the Castaño brothers, who are accused of creating illegal armed groups in Colombia.
