Mexico. The Mexican media company, Televisión Azteca released its financial results for the second quarter of the year. Among the most important figures, the company's net profits were reduced by 90%, from $394 to $40 million Mexican pesos.
Likewise, the company reported that its net sales reached $2,994 million, for an increase of 6% compared to 2011. On the other hand, the company's EBITDA suffered a slight increase, going from $964 million to $966 million.
As for the sale of advertising, the company reported that these came to generate 2,706 million in the quarter, for a better of 5% compared to the previous year.
Regarding these results, Mario San Román, general director of Televisión Azteca, said that "we achieved an all-time high in sales for a second quarter, as a result of growing demand from advertisers looking to build powerful advertising campaigns through our content, with remarkable success in the full day in all our channels."
