Latin America. From the first of July, in all Latin American countries you can enjoy the films of the Twentieth Century FOX and from the 15th of the same month of the series of this production company, through the video on demand portal Netflix.
This is the result of the agreement reached by the two companies announced this week, which, according to the terms, the first series to be available will be 24 and Prision Break and from the first of January there will be other classic series such as The X-Files and Arrested Development and new ones such as Glee.
As announced, the idea is that the library of movies and series of the Twentieth Century FOX on the Netflix portal will grow in the coming years.
Gina Brogi, executive vice president of pay TV and video-on-demand subscription at Twentieth Century Fox, said the deal is a critical opportunity to link Latin American fans with the characters and series they love, in an important area for the distribution of the company's content.
This is one of the solutions that the industry is looking for to deal with the Internet pages that are broadcasting films and series without authorization, directly affecting the income of the production companies.
