International. Social television, mobile television, cloud assistance and new forms of digital entertainment are the services that users prefer when accessing audiovisual content, according to a study developed globally by Motorola Mobility.
According to the information presented in the report , mobile television has grown rapidly, with 37% of respondents stating that they watch television outside their homes on devices such as smartphones, tablets, PCs or laptops.
Latin America is no stranger to this reality; Mexico, with 19%, leads the list of countries in the region that grow in this area, while Argentina had in 2011 with 7% of consumers consuming programs under this modality.
At the international level, the figures of the United States stand out, where the consumption of mobile TV on smartphones increased five times compared to 2010 to reach 23% of users, while in Japan the figure reached 46%.
In addition, 27% of consumers worldwide aged between 25 and 34 watch TV on a mobile device once to twice a week, the same goes for 34% of consumers between 45 and 54 years old and 33% of those surveyed with more than 55 years.
This led the researchers to confirm that current users demand connectivity and availability anytime, anywhere, thus dramatically altering the TV consumption experience.
