Honduras. The Central American Telecommunications company, Cocatel, reached an agreement to be the new distributor of Sencore's complete line for all customers in Central America, through Honduras.
The line of signal quality equipment and video solutions includes the 3187B receiver decoder, the SMD 989 DVB/DVB-S2 modulator and the TXS 3453 transcoder. Also, the company's full range of test and measurement products.
The president of Cocatel, Allen Maldonado, said that as Honduran television production companies and cable providers migrate to digital television, there is a great demand for signal processing, testing and measurement systems, so the alliance with Sencore will be very productive in the coming years.
Cocatel has 14 years of experience in the Central American market and offices in San Pedro Sula and Tegucigalpa, Honduran capital, from which it offers equipment and services for professional radio, television and audiovisual.
Tony Oehlerking, general manager of international business development at Sencore, highlighted the importance of small countries in the distribution of their products. "Countries like Honduras are already making an important contribution to our market share in the region and support our presence throughout the Americas."
