Chile. The company Telefónica del Sur, of the Chilean group GTD Comunicaciones incorporated the VideoBRIGE system for the end-to-end monitoring of digital media provided by Brige Technologies. Telefónica del Sur is the fourth largest telecommunications company in this country and is the first to introduce IPTV services.
VideoBRDIGE version 4.9 includes VB220 multi-technology that enables digital media monitoring of its IPTV services and ETR290 monitoring capabilities. It also consists of a VBC server driver for functionality analysis and a sophisticated graphical presentation of complex data in real time.
Cristian R. Cárcamo Gómez, specialist engineer at TelSur said that "we increased the high level of monitoring thanks to this system, the exhaustive capabilities and the fact that new features are added with each free software update means that we are qualified to maintain an excellent quality of service for our customers while our business grows".
This software adds SQL database qualities, advanced graphical deployments, self-discovery probe, improved device control, and support for the widest range of standards and formats.
The executive said that the Chilean operator plans for next year the purchase of more VB220 systems, "to increase the scope of the monitoring infrastructure, while expanding the subscriber base and deploying additional services."
