Colombia. Attorney Beatriz Cárdenas Casas was appointed, by Decree 0298 of February 20, 2015, as commissioner on behalf of the Communications Regulation Commission, CRC, replacing Carlos Pablo Márquez.
It should be noted that the CRC is composed of three commissioners, one of whom serves as Executive Director. The other commissioners are Isabel Cristina Fajardo and Juan Manuel Wilches, current Executive Director of the entity.
Beatriz Cárdenas Casas is the current Secretary General of the Ministry of Information Technologies and is a lawyer from the Sergio Arboleda University, with a specialization in Business Administration and an MBA from the same University.
She has worked in the utility sector, initially as an advisor in the tariff area of the Telecommunications Regulatory Commission (now CRC); in the area of User Protection of the Superintendence of Industry and Commerce (SIC); consultant en Servicios Públicos Capital Web Ltda.
He also served as Manager of the Jorbet Solo Agua Water Processing Plant; Legal Advisor of the Executive Unit of Public Services of the Capital District, Management Advisor of the same Unit and later Head of the Legal Advisory Office and Head of the Legal Advisory Office of the Drinking Water and Basic Sanitation Regulation Commission (CRA).
