Sony
Sony introduces the new generation storage system SR-R1000, which brings together multi-camera recordings at the same time and up to 4 SR Memory Cards, which is equivalent to 4TB of audiovisual information.
In the same way, it allows to handle 2D, 3D, 1080p and 4K contents, all in a single unit; and facilitates real-time image/audio/data transmission over the 3G network.
It uses the SRMemory card as a recording medium, the only one that achieves a guaranteed speed of up to 5 Gbps, in addition to a storage capacity of up to 1 TB.
Thanks to Sony's patented algorithm, SRMemory is the ideal device to host cinematic content in 3D and 4K. A single SRMemory card can record up to three 3D camera platforms simultaneously and play back the mount from any of them.
Among other features, the SR-R1000 uses the MPEG-4 SStP video file compression system and Sony's HDCAM-SR standard codec for image quality. It also supports an additional compression level called SR-Lite (220 Mbps in 1080/59i), suitable for hdTV program production.
