Blonder Tongue
Blonder Tongue introduces the MPHDE-50 modulator, which delivers and manages HD content for a wide range of applications and markets, including cable, education, hospital and government platforms.
By combining the networked media player (Android) and the SINGLE-channel HD MPEG-2 encoder into a simple 1-RU unit, the modulator provides system operators with greater efficiency and convenience, lowering operating costs.
Using the MPHDE-50, operators can accept a program from the following inputs: component, HD-SDI, HDMI (unencrypted), VGA and composite; and simultaneously delivers a single QAM, ASI or IP output . The process is managed and transmitted by the media player.
The modulator also includes an HDMI connection between the media player and the encoder. Both units are powered by a 12 VDC source integrated into the chassis.
The media player produces an output of 1080i. There are two USB ports on the front of the panel and a 10/100Base-T Ethernet port on the back for remote management.
Also an API is included for native applications. The media player contains an internal flash memory of 4GB and an SD card port for additional storage.
