Ridel's new MN-C-OPT-GV-2 card for MediorNet Compact allows users to connect their Grass Valley LDK and LDX cameras and base stations directly with MediorNet. This provides a solution for bidirectionally routing camera signals, including all embedded audio and telemetry control data, through the MediorNet fiber-based infrastructure.
One of the advantages of this connectivity is the possibility of freely assigning the cameras to any base station or CCU through the network, providing great flexibility in terms of connections and the elimination of the need for rewiring whenever production needs change.
The card fits in a single MediorNet Compact expansion slot and has two ports for connecting cameras or base stations. It also supports all the video/sync formats with which grass Valley LDK and LDX cameras work.
