Latin America. Canon announced the CR-N100 4K PTZ camera. The camera is designed for indoor use and offers the excellent image quality and performance that Canon PTZ cameras are known for at a lower price.
Canon also introduces the RC-IP1000, a high-end remote camera controller designed for professional systems. As a free download, Canon will also launch the multi-camera management app that streamlines the setup and management of compatible Canon cinema, professional video and PTZ cameras.
Canon CR-N100 4K PTZ camera and multi-camera management app
As meetings, conferences, live events, and webinars become increasingly common, there is a growing need for live streaming and video recording technology. The CR-N100 camera provides excellent image quality, fast autofocus and its compact size allows for easy installation in spaces such as meeting rooms and classrooms.
With the addition of the CR-N100 to Canon's line of remote cameras, customers now have more product options that support a wide range of uses, from professional video production to video content use in markets such as corporations, local governments and places of worship and educational institutions.
The CR-N100 features key features that build on Canon's history of developing professional camera technology, including a 1/2.3" CMOS sensor and a DIGIC DV6 image processor platform that helps produce high-quality 4K/30P image captures. In addition, the camera is equipped with a 20x optical zoom lens with a focal length of 29.3mm to 601mmii, which supports image capture in scenarios ranging from wide-angle to telephoto. The camera also includes four "scene modes" (Portrait, Sports, Low Light and Focus) that users can choose from to create their content based on the subject.
Users can create a complete and versatile production environment thanks to the CR-N100's compatibility with a variety of video interfaces and IP transmission protocols. CR-N100 supports NDI|HXiii for control and high-quality, low-latency video, SRTiv for secure transmission of high-quality video over public networks, and RTP/RTSP/RTMP(s) for live streaming over popular social networks.
To help with the initial setup of compatible Canon cinema, professional video and PTZ cameras, Canon also launches the Multi-Camera Management Application (MCMA). MCMA allows users to batch configure initial camera settings as well as manage cameras, making it ideal for corporate, educational, and multi-camera events such as live streaming university lectures and streaming live events.
With the Multi-Camera Management (MCMA) application, up to 200 individual camera units can be managed for use in large-scale camera systems. MCMA streamlines the registration of usernames, passwords and IP addresses on a camera and the registration of cameras on the RC-IP1000 by running these procedures all at once, rather than individually.
This enables rapid initial configuration of large-scale systems with minimal workload. In addition, the status of all connected cameras can be viewed in a convenient list that allows easier execution of operations such as firmware update, reboot and initialization.
Canon RC-IP1000 Remote Camera Controller
The Canon RC-IP1000 is a high-end controller that provides multiple functions and the easy operation needed for professional remote video production workflows, meeting the needs of various environments, including broadcasting, places of worship and live event streaming.
The RC-IP1000 was designed with ease of use in mind and features ideally located and angled direct functional buttons and dials for simple operation, as well as an easily visible 7" touch panel. The controller supports IP and serial control, and can perform pan, tilt and zoom (PTZ) movements remotely, and the user can configure and change settings, including focus, exposure and image settings.
It supports the broadcasting industry's popular 12G-SDI input for 4K/60P, as well as visual input over IP and HDMI video output. The touchpad can display live video of the cameras in single-page, 2x2 and 3x3 layouts from the cameras over IP, allowing simultaneous operation of multiple camera units.
