MADRID, 25 Apr. (Portaltic/EP) -
Nintendo has announced that this year during the E3 fair will not make its usual keynote since they intend to make more personalized communications according to the type of customers they are addressing. The Japanese company does not plan to present new hardware and its main objective for this fair is to present novelties in the software so it will hold two smaller events, one for distributors and one for media.
On Wednesday, Nintendo published in its financial results report the change in corporate communication policies that the company will carry out throughout this year.
In the report, the company states that during this year they will move away from holding mass events during E3 to focus on closer communication and focused on the different types of customers it has since "different people demand different types of information," according to the company.
"Video game fans are looking for information about games and seem to be less interested in sales figures than investors and analysts who, on the other hand, give them a lot of importance. In addition, distributors are looking for information on how we will market our products in the immediate future," the report said.
Therefore, instead of the multitudinous keynote that the company made at this fair and replacing it with a series of more concentrated and directed events for each type of audience, Nintendo offers what each audience really demands. According to the company at E3 this year it is not planned to launch a new device and its main activity in it will be to announce news in terms of software.
Thus, Nintendo's agenda for this event includes a closed conference for American distributors and a practical event, also closed, to give focused gaming experiences to the Western media dedicated to this sector that attend.
In addition to these exclusive forms of communication for event attendees, Nintendo is working on new ways to reach different customers in a close way and get more feedback as well as greater attention.
