Mexico. Jason Barden, Sales Director for Latin America at Ross Video, described the advantages of the company's new Acid camera, which offers unique advantages for the broadcast market, especially for production using chroma-key.
"We are presenting for the first time in Latin America the new Acid camera, which in addition to having any typical broadcast application, also has a special function to make the chroma-key inlay. It has a 4:2:2 output, in addition to a second 0:4:4 output, which gives us 100% the information of the chroma-key. With these two signals we have an UltraChromeHR function, which combines the two signals to have a 4:4:4 and allow us to make a unique chroma-key, which is no longer noticeable, it has perfect edges, "he explained during Expo Cine, TV y Video 2016, held in Mexico City.
Barden said that the new camera offers superior options to those currently available on the market: "Because with the 4:2:2 we only have half of the information of the chroma-key. That although our switcher has the best chroma-key on the market, we still have to guess half of the pixels, whether they are green or not. But with the Acid camera it's no longer like that, we have the perfect solution to make a spectacular chroma-key."
