Latin America. Nagra presented its latest innovations designed to offer a safe, engaging and comprehensive experience to pay-TV operators at the ABTA 2016 Fair, which took place last week in Brazil.
The event marked the Brazilian debut of Nagra's new all-in-one TV experience, intuiTV, and offered a comprehensive showcase of the company's latest implementations for customers, such as NET and Unotel.
"The pay-TV landscape is going through a real transformation and Brazil is not immune to this change. Despite the challenging economic environment, consumers' desire to access the best of traditional and OTT services is on the rise, and service providers need to have the right solutions in place to deliver what consumers want: their favorite content, anytime, anywhere, on any screen." said Thierry Martin, Nagra's vice president for the southern region of Latin America.
The experience of intuiTV, recently awarded at the Connected TV World Summit, in London, in the category "More Millennial Friendly", for bringing television to the new millennium, allows consumers to have access to the best of television and Internet TV through an intuitive and surrounding experience in 4K Ultra HD and HD.
IntuiTV is offered as a managed cloud-based platform and can be configured with a full line of premium content and advanced TV services offering live TV, video-on-demand (VOD), SVOD services (such as Netflix and YouTube), PVR/nPVR and social TV and much more, from an innovative streaming device and touchscreen remote control, all with advanced search and recommendation (including voice function).
"As annoying as value-added services are, large pay-TV providers continue to have a greater advantage thanks to their established infrastructures and programming expertise. The most important thing is how to respond to the changing market, and this is where Nagra can help," Martin added.
