Colombia. With the digitization of their networks, subscription TV operators have new options to provide to their customers. The company of Set top boxes Crenova, presented during the fair Andinalink its new box that will help in this end.
This box, which has the system of the company Xcrypt, allows to receive the signal that comes from the header, be distributed to the TV and making use of a WiFI network, without internet consumption, can send two simultaneous signals for two mobile devices. That is, a single box can emit three signals regardless of the tuning of the channels.
José Rojano, manager of AVTech, a company that distributes Crenova boxes for Colombia, explained that with this device cable television operators will be able to offer added value to their users through digital networks, simply making use of a WiFi roúter, without having to be connected to the internet or a mobile data network.
Another benefit of this box is that it allows the reception of the digital television signal under the DVB T2 model by simply connecting an air antenna and reading contents from hard drives or USB, also transmitting them wirelessly to mobile devices.
"This is an interesting alternative for cable operators, who for a cost very similar to that of a simple box, can have a box that offers many more benefits," concluded José Rojano.
