Latin America. Ready to record in any environment, Sony's PXW-Z150 professional handheld camera offers incredible 4K image quality, Full HD slow motion with 120fps high frame rate, and advanced network connectivity for live streaming and wireless workflows.
It is the world's first professional camcorder to include a 1.0" stacked CMOS image sensor. This integrated sensor offers twice the reading speed compared to conventional 1.0" sensors, allowing you to record in Full HD slow motion at 120 fps and in spectacular 4K resolution. Full pixel reading helps to take full advantage of the full potential of the large 1.0" sensor, without the need to lose pixels or skip lines – which can produce moiré effects.
The large 1.0" sensor is also brighter, has higher resolution and offers a greater bokeh effect with shallow depth of field, allowing you to create beautiful cinematic images that will inspire you and delight your customers.
The Z150 offers a breakthrough in image capture for cameras in its class, allowing you to record in 4K QFHD format (3840x2160) using the advanced XAVC Long GOP 100 Mbps codec for true performance with professional-grade 4K resolution.
To maximize the quality of your images, the Z150 camera has an incredible 12x optical zoom lens that offers high resolution and contrast throughout the image. Sony's advanced Clear Image Zoom feature increases amplification to 18x when shooting in 4K QFHD and 24x in HD, to fully exploit the imaging capabilities of the Z150 camera's large 1.0" stacked sensor.
The Z150 transforms expectations of the possible by being a handheld camcorder that you can confidently use for almost any type of application. This includes continuous recording with a high frame rate of up to 120 fps (frames per second) in Full HD quality, allowing you to record in wonderful 5x slow motion.
4K image performance is supported by the 4K XAVC Long GOP codec at a speed of 100 Mbps, while integration with established broadcast workflows is simplified thanks to the fact that it can be recorded in Full HD using the XAVC Long GOP codec (4:2:2/10 bits at 50 Mbps) and MPEG-2 HD (50 Mbps/35 Mbps). You can even use the AVCHD format to further expand the flexibility of your workflow. Whichever way you want to shoot, the Z150 makes it possible
The Z150 is not only a compact and lightweight design, but also integrates advanced features to reduce the need for bulky accessories that will delay you. A four-position ND filter will save you the need to carry a filter box, while the MI shoe eliminates wiring when a microphone or even a lamp is connected.
Advanced networking capabilities include built-in Wi-Fi functionality for live streaming and wireless connection to FTP*, greatly increasing the ability to move from place to place. In addition, the camera can be easily controlled from a smartphone or tablet using the Wi-Fi remote control function. Every minute detail has been thought of, including the level of energy efficiency, which offers a remarkable continuous recording time of 400 minutes
