Latin America. Sony introduced a new two-channel slot-attachable receiver, the UTX-B03HR model, and a new pouch transmitter, the UWP-D Series model, designed to be compatible with Sony's XDCAM and HDCAM camcorders.
The URX-S03D receiver is the first two-channel slot-coupled receiver in the Sony UWP-D series for camcorders that provides a true diversity system with stable RF transmission and high-quality sound.
Since its launch in 2014, Sony's UWP-D series has been used for many applications such as use in documentaries, electronic news gathering, and outdoor and broadcaster production for news production, resulting in stable wireless transmission based on Sony's state-of-the-art digital audio processing technologies.
The real diversity reception system achieves very stable reception thanks to its two receiving antennas and independent RF circuits for each channel. Rf signals from the two antennas are compared and the strongest signal is automatically selected for output, allowing the URX-S03D to minimize potential reception interruptions.
The URX-S03D receiver fits into the slot of Sony XDCAM camcorders with 2-channel digital audio connections directly from DSP. It can also be adjusted to the slot of an HDCAM camcorder with single-channel audio connection. In addition, you can monitor the AF/RF status of the URX-S03D using the viewfinder of compatible Sony camcorders.

The new UTX-B03HR is equipped with a new 4-pin microphone connector designed to withstand the difficulties of ENG recording. A standard broadcast Lavalier microphone (ECM-77BC) can be used with the new connector.
