International. Blackmagic Design announced the return of its line of low-cost 3G Mini Converters. These devices allow conversions between SD or HD formats and different frame rates, in addition to having 3G SDI technology to provide compatibility with existing equipment. Thanks to the proven quality and reliability of these products, they are ideal for installations that handle SD and HD formats.
In addition, they offer features such as redundant SDI inputs, connections for balanced analog audio or AES, possibility of updating through the USB port and, in some models, conversion to lower resolution formats to be able to use HD or SD equipment.
Since the 3G SDI Mini Converters models were replaced by the SDI 6G (Ultra HD) line without increasing their price, users have been able to access cutting-edge UHD technology at no additional cost. Since then, Blackmagic Design has joined forces with its supply chain to reduce the cost of components, resulting in the relaunch of older models at a $100 discount. Converters that allow audio processing now cost $300 less. In this way, the entire line of Mini Converters SDI 3G is available at a price of $ 195.

Mini Converter SDI to HDMI: This model allows to obtain HDMI signals in all SD or HD formats with a maximum resolution of 1080p60 from SDI sources. Audio is integrated into the HDMI output and transmitted separately over a balanced analog or digital (AES/EBU) signal. This converter is ideal for using HDMI TVs and projectors as SDI monitors for all SD and HD formats.
Mini Converter HDMI to SDI: This model allows to obtain SDI signals in all SD or HD formats with a maximum resolution of 1080p60 from HDMI sources. Audio channels can be integrated via inputs for HDMI, balanced analog or AES/EBU signals. This converter is ideal for adding an SDI (SD/HD) output to computer equipment and cameras that have HDMI connections.
Mini Converter SDI to Analog: This model offers the possibility of obtaining analog signals by components, S-Video or composite video (NTSC or PAL) from SDI content in SD or HD definition. It also supports all SD and HD formats up to a maximum resolution of 1080p60 and allows you to convert HD images to standard definition analog formats such as S-Video and composite video. On the other hand, it allows to obtain channels of balanced analog audio or AES / EBU and is ideal for using old analog equipment.
Mini Converter SDI to Audio: This model offers the ideal option to separate audio channels from any SDI source in SD or HD format with a maximum resolution of 1080p60. Such signals are transmitted to devices such as mixers, analog recorders, and audio monitors via 0.25-inch connections for balanced analog audio or AES/EBU.
Mini Converter Audio to SDI: This model allows you to integrate audio into any SDI source in SD or HD format with a maximum resolution of 1080p60. Such signals are received from devices such as analog mixers and recorders over 0.25-inch connections for analog balanced audio channels or AES/EBU.
Mini Converter SDI Distribution: This model allows you to transmit the same SDI signal (SD or HD) to eight different devices simultaneously. It has a 3G SDI interface with resynchronized outputs and automatic switching between SD and HD formats with a maximum resolution of 1080p60. It also offers the possibility of processing asynchronous (ASI) or auxiliary signals, and integrated audio.
