International. Newtek began distribution of its TalkShow™ VS-100 video call production system, designed specifically for television studios and live video producers.
Presented at IBC 2014, TalkShow is the new studio-quality solution that allows programmers and video producers to provide the possibility for 300 million monthly Skype users calling from almost any device to speak as guests on live shows.
The TalkShow turnkey system is built on top of Microsoft's Skype TX software to initiate, receive, monitor and manage video calls, with a unique additional set of live production tools such as call recording not found in other video calling systems.
These tools allow producers to deliver better audio and video experiences that are critical to producing credible, high-quality broadcast programming that simply isn't possible with standard desktop video messaging products.
The hardware and software solution integrated into a low-cost rack unit is ready to offer two HD-SDI channels (one input, one output), two-channel Ethernet connectivity, audio with built-in SDI, and professional XLR audio support.
TalkShow is the only production system that allows programmers to manage all aspects of a live Skype video call in the control room, just like any other video source – whether before, during or after the call. Producers can easily incorporate TalkShow into any live production or studio environment with:
Broadcast-style video with regular Skype calls, optimized on-air video, built-in video quality controls, SDI input and output, multiple Skype calls, and access to anyone with a Skype account.
The TalkShow system adds: integration with TriCaster, SDI audio, better return sound, IP audio, replication, color correction, preview monitoring, log support, built-in video display with logging, professional audio tools, minimal latency, record and reuse, system restore.
