Mexico. Maxcom Telecommunications chose Broadpeak solutions to enhance its multi-screen OTT service offering. Using a combination of CDN manager, streaming server, and video analytics delivery, the Mexican company can now cost-effectively offer more live channels and video-on-demand to subscribers while providing superior quality of service.
Broadpeak's BkS300 and BkS400 servers offer extensive format compatibility (e.g., Apple HLS, Microsoft Smooth Streaming, Adobe HDS, and MPEG-DASH), allowing Maxcom Telecommunications to deliver live HLS and VOD content to any screen. Leveraging HTTP adaptive bitrate technology, servers ensure viewers receive the best possible video quality.
The operator has also deployed the BkM100 Mediator CDN, a unified networked content manager, to manage load balancing and task switching. Based on an open architecture, the BkM100 offers seamless integration with service platforms and content management systems, making it easy for Maxcom Telecommunications to integrate into the network.
In addition, Broadpeak's BkA100 video delivery analytics solution aggregates data from various components of the video distribution chain, providing Maxcom Telecommunications with meaningful information on video consumption and quality of service in a variety of formats. It allows you to receive daily reports on content, sessions, VOD and services in real time, alarm information and more.
"In order to expand our service offering, we needed flexible and scalable CDN solutions that offer easy integration with our quality service platform and existing assurance," said Miguel Ceballos, vice president of operations for Maxcom Telecommunications.
