International. In cooperation with Rohde & Schwarz, Digital TV Group's Broadcasting Conformance Test Lab, DTG Testing, has successfully tested the R&S BTC and the R&S AVBrun D-Book test series. The industry now has an extremely compact testing solution that is recognized by DTG Testing.
D-Book outlines the interoperability requirements for digital terrestrial broadcasting receivers in the UK. The different chapters contain detailed test scenario information for the functionality, behavior, and performance of these receivers. Equipment that passes these tests can deliver UNdisturbed TV reception. The importance of the D-Book can be seen in the fact that many countries have adopted the testing requirements virtually unchanged.
The automated R&S BTC solution is a unique box for conducting online pre-compliance tests with D-Book chapters 9 and 10. This test solution can be used to fully verify the design and functionality of a broadcast receiver before it undergoes actual compliance testing.
Customers can rely on the fact that the depth of testing is equivalent to the conformity test in DTG Testing. The accredited test laboratory determines the conformity of a receiver and issues the manufacturer a certificate to that effect.
The modular design provides a high degree of scalability, allowing the BTC to be configured for any customer need. Repeatable testing makes it possible to quickly and reliably carry out compliance, which is otherwise time-consuming. DTG Testing recognized that the Rohde & Schwarz solution is also the first to offer a true ability to compare different test methods, solutions and configurations.
