Argentina. A 20% of cover in the territory of the digital television signal was the advance of the adoption of this technology in Argentina during 2013, according to the figures reported by the government of that country.
In total, the country closed 2013 with 77 digital broadcast stations, the goal that had been set for the year by the Advisory Council of Open Digital Television. To these, 40 more digital stations will be added during the first months of 2014.
The Argentine government estimates that there are about 30 million people who today can access digital television, including those who receive the satellite signal through Direct to Home Television and is aimed at rural areas and small towns far from cities.

As part of the process of implementing digital television, the Argentine Government, through the Program Plan Mi TV Digital, guarantees equal access to this new technology with the delivery of decoders free of charge to homes, establishments and social organizations.
In addition, for the generation of content, the work is framed in the Audiovisual Poles program, through which 47 universities work together with the producers of the country.
