International. Special for live broadcasts is the new console presented to the market by the company Calrec. Of reference Callisto, this console allows to produce creative audio broadcast and with ease, but do not require professional applications of the latest technology as the other consoles of the company bring.
Callisto's mechanical design is refined, with a lossless construction that keeps components and materials to a minimum. Disciplined power distribution means the console is around 30% more efficient. Access service is from the front of the console, and the entire control surface can be replaced by removing only 12 screws.
Henry Goodman, Head of Sales at Calrec, explained that "we have designed Callisto to keep the user interface simple and straightforward. Throughout the design process, we have maintained the focus not only on features and capabilities, but on the entire user experience."
In designing the new console, Calrec focused on ensuring that Callisto's intuitive graphical user interface would be suitable for a wide range of operator levels. Users control the console via a 17-inch multi-touch display inspired by family tablet technology, with a simple interface that uses set finger movements to navigate the system. The crisp, high-resolution display offers elegant controls and clear presentation of information.
The physical control surface available in fixed 32 - and the configurations of 44 faders with a new aerodynamic design. Each channel has only the most important mechanical controls, with a parent, two flexible control cells, and a dedicated pot gain.
