Latin America. JVC and its distributor Softmark presented the new functions that JVC brings to the market with its new model of press chamber, reference GY-HM650U. The presentation was in charge of Pedro Mess, Sales Manager Latin America of JVC, who was in charge of talking about the qualities and applications of this camera.
This new equipment means a new generation of ProHD handheld camcorder, slightly more powerful than the 600 model. It features the dual codec, as well as an FTP function and Wi-Fi connectivity.
The GY-HM650 2.0 enables live streaming or file transfer in the background, while operators continue to record streams in their normal workflow. When the camera is equipped with a Verizon 4G LTE modem, connected directly by USB, the GY-HM650 can transmit images to the production or broadcast center in real time, without the need for external equipment or annoying backpacks, and simultaneously record a Full HD file on solid-state memory cards.
Designed for mobile news and documentary production, the lightweight GY-HM650 features a Fujinon 23x wide-angle optical zoom with manual focus, servo zoom and diaphragm rings, plus three ND filters and a detachable sunshade.
This camera records HD or SD images in various formats, from native XDCAM EX (.MP4), Final Cut Pro (. MOV) and AVCHD, as well as . MXF supports descriptive metadata for audiovisual content management. The GY-HM650 also supports live video streaming at 1080i, 720p and lower resolutions for webcasting to adapt to network conditions. The built-in trimming function reduces the size of the files for a more efficient transfer.
