Latin America. The company Pico announced the availability of its new products Cinebox and Cinedrive, a new supply of digital content for the cable operator in Latin America.
These new products and services give small and medium-sized cable operators in the region the opportunity to offer their subscribers more digital content options. Using Cinebox, a total of 1,000 movies a year can be added to the network.
The company stressed that this service is pre-programmed and includes a guide channel (EPG), giving the cable operator an easy assimilation for its current channel offering and programming. For its use it requires a broadband of 4 QAMs in 24 MHz throughout the package; which is equivalent to 4 analog channels.
"We saw a huge need to provide small and medium-sized cable operators with easy and inexpensive access to additional sources of digital content. For this growing and under-assisted market, we have created this extremely cost-effective and easy-to-implement solution. We look forward to helping these operators in generating revenue by retaining and growing the number of their subscribers," said Carlos Shteremberg, President of Pico Digital.
This service is available in different packages that will allow medium and small cable operators to offer it to their users based on the target audience.
