The company of subtitles for television Softel, announced that its Swift system was integrated into the Playout Spectrum channel module of Harmonic, a solution that will allow a lower consumption of rack space and a delivery of subtitles in several languages without delays compared to the image.
This union also responds to a growing number of international regulations for television that require subtitles for a large amount of content. Non-integrated systems can end up turning the workflow into something complex and inefficient, especially with diversification into multiple formats and new video streams.
The two companies highlight that by having video, audio and subtitle processing together on the same platform, significant savings can be achieved by speeding up the delivery of content to new platforms and simplifying the processing of multilingual and multi-format subtitles.
