Latin America. To have a closer relationship with its customers, the company Sennheiser created a free iPad application in which they can find a monthly digital magazine about sound, with interactive narrations and exploratory navigation.
The first edition of Blue Stage, as the digital magazine was called, is focused on recordings that were made outside the studio, from a bamboo orchestra in the Solomon Islands, to the chants of a kitchen crew in Namibia. Sade producer Stuart Matthewman reveals tricks of his craft and do-it-yourself tips for recording at home.
The second edition examines the role of the DJ, the work they do and focuses on professionals like Bob Sinclar. The third edition will explore the route that the artist travels to reach the top.
Readers will learn about information in an innovative way. It is designed especially for sound lovers, from the established to the starters," explained Uwe Greunke, Director of Strategic Marketing at Sennheiser.
The application includes an audio player with which the reader can listen to the songs related to each of the articles of each edition. The built-in playlist includes track recommendations to download separately.
Each month there will be a special prize that will not be available for purchase; the instructions to earn it will be in the "Money can't buy" section. In the first edition an emerging band will have the opportunity to win a set of Sennheiser mycophones, which includes advice from one of our sound engineers.
Blue Stage is available in Spanish, English, German, Portuguese and Chinese. And soon it will also be in Russian.
