Brazil. The North American company NEP and the main Brazilian provider of digital satellite for newsgathering, Casablanca Online, CBO, reached an agreement to offer a complete outdoor solution for production and transmission in this country.
As part of this agreement, NEP is developing an HD mobile unit designed specifically for the Brazilian market and will provide maintenance, training, engineering and account management.
This 12-meter, single-trailer unit for expansion includes equipment for production, recording, audio playback and routing. The trailer supports up to 12 HD cameras and includes three high-definition video EVS servers that enable tapeless workflows. It also has a 5.1 audio console from the company Calrec.
Kevin Rabbitt, CEO of NEP, said: "With an increasing number of sporting and entertainment events coming to Brazil in the next four years, it is perfect time to start offering broader solutions in this dynamic and fast-growing market."
Casablanca Online will operate the team as part of a complete package of uplink production and broadcast services for domestic and international customers spanning major live sports and entertainment events in the country.
Alex Pimentel, Managing Director of Casablanca Online, concluded: "With this alliance, we will be able to offer our customers both domestic and international premium level services. We are looking forward to the opportunity to increase our market share by offering a more complete solution to our customers."
