Latin America. Mexico, Brazil, Argentina, Colombia, Chile, Nicaragua, El Salvador and Panama, are the first countries in Latin America to have the Yap.tvservice, an application for mobile devices that classifies television programs according to the recommendations of users through social networks.
This application is based on the concept of social television, allowing network users to talk to other people who share the same interests in movies, videos and TV series, thus creating a worldwide content guide for its users to access programs they want without having to zapping.
Recently, the social network Facebook integrated this application, achieving that when users log into Yap.TV with Facebook Connect, the application imports their favorite programs, as well as those of their friends.
In addition, Yap.TV will feature "El Canal", through which users can find the latest news and gossip of their favorite programs, based on the programs that have been given the well-known "I Like" from the application.
In total there are 20 countries to which the company decided to expand its services, after being alone in the United States for two years. Among them are the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Denmark, Spain, Finland, Ireland, Norway, the Netherlands, Poland, Canada, in addition to Latin Americans.
Likewise, the service of this application is available in five languages: Spanish, French, German, Portuguese and English. The company indicated that other countries and languages will be included in the coming months.
