International. While TVs with high definition resolution begin to become widespread in Latin America, manufacturers already have their replacement, 4K resolution, which is four times the current high definition.
The manufacturers Sony, Panasonic, LG and Toshiba presented their new TVs, which go from a current resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels to 3840 x 2160 pixels and require a minimum size of 84 inches to take advantage of the best of their image.
The latest developments in televisions were known during the latest version of IFA 2012, the most important consumer electronic equipment fair in Europe, which takes place until this week in Berlin.
Sony presented its Bravia TV, which allows you to have a fully immersive experience based on 4K technology, with which it has also developed the CineAlta F65 transmission camera and the cinema projection system.
Toshiba introduced its Quad Full HD, a 4K TV that will start selling during the first half of 2013. In addition, LG also has its 4k TV that it sells in Korea and that it hopes to go on the world market before the end of this year.
Finally, Panasonic took the opportunity to show, not only its 4k TVs, but also had on display its prototype of 8K TV reference Super Hi Vision of 145 inches.
At the moment, the sale of televisions with 4K resolution will not be massified very quickly, because the producers must start producing in this format and, above all, that the cost is high. LG's benchmark distributed in South Korea is close to $22,000.
