United States. As is tradition, during NAB Show manufacturers launch their most important products for the broadcast market, and this year is no exception. During the first opening day of the fair, there were many presented, here some of them.
The Harris company expanded its portfolio for the transmission of digital television, with solutions for all models of digital television existing, since previously it only had procedures for DVB-T2, a European model adopted by Colombia. Today it also has solutions for the ATSC models from the United States and ISDB-Tb from Brazil.
Solutions include the Selenium media convergence platform, Maxiva, UHF and Platinum VHF digital transmitters that cover high- and low-power operations, and a number of test-and-measure solutions for compliance.
For its part, Avid launched three storage products that offer greater flexibility, more storage capacity and better integration into workflows: the new generation of the AirSpeed 5000, the new ISIS 2000 nearline server and the fourth version of the ISIS 7000 v4.0. These products significantly improve the speed and capacities of intake, production and reproduction.
For digital video and log monitoring, Volicon introduced the new version of the Observer, which facilitates easy integration with existing infrastructure. The system allows the transmission of observers of high-quality content live or recorded directly on the desktops and work together from mobile devices such as iPad, iPhone and Android devices, with a real-time window of all the shows that are produced.
TV AND VIDEO will continue to keep an eye on everything that happens at NAB Show 2012.
