Mexico. The company Avid was in charge of providing the studies of Engineering in Digital Music Production offered by the TEC of Monterrey, with the Pro Tools, D-Comand, ICON D-Control and C24 systems.
In these studies students can meet and interact from the first semester with the necessary tools to create new musical formats with the latest technology.
In the larger studio they opted for a 5.1-channel control room to mix surround sound, so they can teach classes and listen to the final projects in the same place. In addition, they have a suite of plug-ins and waves.
The TEC of Monterrey also has contemplated investments in other equipment for the rooms, such as M-Box recording systems.
The intervened academic spaces are located in the campuses of Mexico City, Santa Fe, Monterrey and Puebla, were planned by Horacio Malvicino, one of the most important acoustic designers worldwide and built by the same staff of the educational institution.
With the new equipment, the TEC de Monterrey seeks to become an Authorized Training Center for the general public and that its students achieve the 100, 110 and 200 certifications of Pro Tools in the first two years of studying the career.
